We can transfer compatible medical imaging data, including DICOM files, from your original hospital CD to a new data CD, USB memory stick or downloadable digital format.

Need to provide your scans to another hospital? If you have received an MRI, CT scan, X-ray, ultrasound or other medical imaging examination on CD, the receiving hospital may require the files on different media or without the original hospital's proprietary viewer. We can extract the underlying digital imaging data and transfer it to a new medium.

Compatible Disc: Where appropriate, we can create a new compatible CD containing the original medical imaging files rather than simply relying on the viewing software supplied on the original disc. This can make the files easier for the receiving hospital's imaging or radiology department to access or import into a compatible DICOM/PACS system.

Other Options: If a CD is not required, we can also provide the transferred files on a USB memory stick or as a downloadable digital file. We recommend checking with the receiving hospital beforehand to confirm which format or media they require.

Preserving the Original Data: Where supported by the source disc, we retain the original DICOM files and associated information rather than converting the scans into ordinary photographs. This helps preserve the medical imaging data in its original digital form.

Some older medical imaging CDs use proprietary viewers or legacy software that may no longer work on modern computers. Our service focuses on transferring the underlying imaging files, rather than depending on the original viewing application.

Due to the age, condition and format of some medical imaging CDs, we cannot guarantee that every disc or file can be successfully transferred, or that a particular hospital will accept every type of media. Please confirm the receiving hospital's requirements before ordering.
