I have 3 x 7" and 1 x 5" reel-to-reel tapes, many decades old. They have been stored in a porch which gets very hot in summer, freezing in winter; damp. I've no idea what state the tapes are in. On some of the paperwork, there's reference to grey and red so some may be double sided or something.

I'm seeking a company with the expertise to transfer content from these (possibly) fragile and poor condition tapes. I don't need the tapes restored as such but I do very much want their content, on both CD and as downloadable mp3s.

Is this something you are able to do, please?

We can certainly provide the content on both CD and as downloadable MP3 files, as requested.

- If your tapes were recorded on standard domestic equipment and are free from mould, we can proceed with a straightforward transfer. Full details can be found here: https://www.mediasos.co.uk/transfer-reel-to-reel-to-cd

- Should you find the tapes have developed mould, they will require cleaning and treatment first. Please refer to our repair service here: https://www.mediasos.co.uk/reel-to-reel-repair
